# Launching

It's like baking a cake without ever tasting it - you put a lot of effort into it, but it might not turn out right because you don't know what ingredients you should add or leave out until you try it.
>Keep in mind that you should be embarrassed by your initial release—not ashamed or indicted! The desire for speed is not an excuse to cut dangerous corners. If you trigger lawsuits or burn through your money without learning, it means you did launch too soon. The point of launching your product early is to learn as quickly as possible. But your learning is useless if you don’t have the ability to iterate. If your product bursts into flames and kills someone, you probably won’t get another chance.

Launching a product is like launching a boat. You should be embarrassed by your first attempt, but not ashamed or guilty. If you don't take the proper safety precautions, your boat may sink and you won't get another chance to try. The goal is to launch quickly so that you can learn, but if you rush too much and don't pay attention to details, you could end up with a disaster.
Just launch & get feedback from the market!

Here are the key steps for a successful product launch summarized from the video:
1. Seed the product: Educate your audience on the problem your product solves months in advance. Get them excited about the possibilities without mentioning the product.
2. Announce something is coming: Build anticipation by teasing that you'll be launching a solution to the problem you've been talking about. Do this 3-7 days before launch.
3. 7-day promotion: Promote the offer heavily for 7 days across email, social media, and optionally paid ads. Email generates the most sales.
4. Step up customer support: Interact with every question and objection that comes up during the promotion. Be available to answer questions quickly.
5. Start building your email list early, even before you have a product. Email generates the most sales during launches.
6. Use omnichannel marketing across email, social media, and ads. Each channel plays an important role.
7. Focus on attraction marketing and high value content before trying expensive paid ads. Grow your audience organically first.
