# Size is not everything
Does the investment received by a company reflect its success? (send me a message if you have a good answer)
The amount of fundraising is actually orthogonal to success. The most successful companies - at least in Silicon Valley - raised on average the least amount of money as a startup. Facebook, Salesforce, Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Oracle, Webex... all have in common that they had the hardest time to raise money at all.
