#llm #ai
I've been using daily LLMs for the past 3 years, since gpt-2, and I see a lot of people not understanding what is AI, especially in businesses, here are my hot takes:
- AI is not something new, it's just the new software, just as we switched from C to Python, we now switch from Javascript to GPT-4. It is a more evolutionary intuitive interface for carbon-based intelligence to exchange information with silicon-based intelligence
- If you don't use LLM in your product, you are building 100x slower than competition
- Open source LLMs will always lag behind proprietary LLMs unless you fine-tune
- Just as the CEO is a general intelligence dealing with specialized models (CTO, CFO, etc.), the future will be a bunch of general LLMs exchanging with specialised LLMs
- I've been observing private AI for the past 10 years, and no, it's still not working - the workaround is to forget about data privacy, value > privacy
-
just as google maps makes you unable to navigate by yourself, chatgpt makes you unable to think independently
