# What is your loss function
I used to see my count of words in the bottom bar of obsidian

I noticed that it wrongly pushed me to optimize for number of words, but rather I believe [[Education|education]] is more about number of links, even though links does not cause [[Philosophy/Epistemology/Knowledge|knowledge]] but at least it should be a better metric to optimize than count of words.
So what is your [[Personal growth/Goal|loss function for life]]? Do you optimize for body fat, number of zeros in your bank account, number of hugs on a daily basis, or maybe beers per day?
In a more buzzword-bullshit-[[Business 🔨]]-friendly way, what are your "KPIs"?
