Sometimes I didn't notice the loss, while other times I did and had to fix it (typically using git as the source of truth). In the end, if I don't notice the loss, it's because it's not something that is deeply rooted in my mind, and it's similar to what happens in the [[Organic reality|organic reality]]; we tend to forget the unimportant things.
