# Subjective experience

Philosophy of mind as a subjective experience is a field of study that explores the nature of consciousness, the relationship between the mind and the body, and the nature of mental states. It seeks to understand the relationship between the subjective experience of the individual and the physical structures and processes of the brain. It is concerned with the nature of the self, the experience of consciousness, and the implications of this for our understanding of the physical world. Philosophy of mind as a subjective experience also questions the notion of free will, examining whether it is something that is determined by our environment or something that is determined within ourselves.
