[[Jeff Hawkins - A Thousand Brains_ A New Theory of Intelligence|Jeff Hawkins]] [[Marvin Minsky]] talks about [[Society of Minds]] as a form of general [[Computing/Intelligence|Intelligence]] that is composed of multiple intelligent entities We can take the analogy of AI in our society: different "models" interact with eachother, the general intelligent [[CEO]] (gpt4 equiv) get [[Information|information]] from specialized models such as the [[CTO]] (starcodex, w/e coding model) who is itself receiving [[Information|information]] from the software engineer The size of each model influences the inference, depending on what task need to be done. This is due to the fact that the [[Mind|mind]] of the [[CEO]] itself is composed of multiple models, specialized for different tasks. ## How the future looks like? In the future we are going to replace more organic models by artificial ones, for example the writer is now replaced by a [[ChatGPT]] prompt. Usually the replaced model first transfer his [[Philosophy/Epistemology/Knowledge|knowledge]] to the artificial model, this is called [[Reinforcement learning from human feedback|RLHF]] and this is how [[GPT3]] became [[ChatGPT]]: many humans transferring their organic model to an artificial one. Unfortunately for the [[Utilitarianism|utilitarian]], if you are replaced and cannot contribute another useful model to society, you have no use anymore and you can safely exit the [[Genome|gene]] pool At the end we will merge the artificial models and organic models from a hardware point of view, it already started, the smartphone is an extension of our hand, then come the [[Augmented reality]] glasses and soon the [[Brain computer interface|brain computer interface]]
