Here where roses bloom, where laurel and vine both mingle their fruit,
I dwell in a house of reason,
And though my mind still tends to stray,
I have found the strength to rein it in,
To live by logic and not by passion.
I have forsaken all my old desires,
The things that used to cloud my judgement,
And now I see the world more clearly,
More objectively, than I ever did before.
I am no longer a prisoner of my emotions,
But a free man, liberated from my biases,
Able to think and act rationally,
And though the path ahead may be difficult,
I am confident that I can overcome anything,
As long as I stay on the side of reason.
The roses still bloom, and the laurel and vine still mingle their fruit, but he who dwells in a house of reason is no longer swayed by passion.
