The eager hawk flies high to catch its prey
Yet alone it soars, no flock to lead the way
For with others it must share the prize when caught
And better to feast alone than scraps when fought

The mighty lion rules the jungle proud and strong
But solo it hunts, no need for group along
For the pack dilutes the glory and dims the fame
And better to reign alone than share an empty name

The mystic sits silent, lost in meditation
No disciples at his feet, no congregation
For the truth shines clearest in an empty shrine
And better to be the only, if you wish to be divine

So friend, be like the hawk, lion and mystic bold
Let your star shine brightly, no need to join the fold
For sometimes it's better to walk your path alone
Than get lost in the crowd and forget how you have grown
