You spoke of progress, spoke of light, Of battles won and wrongs made right. But in your eyes I saw the chain, That binds you to this game of pain. For truth needs neither sword nor shield, Nor victories won on battlefield. It stands alone in naked grace, Beyond this dream of time and space. So play your game of loss and gain, Of pleasure sweet and bitter pain. While truth remains forever free, Beyond what eyes can ever see. The game itself cannot be won, For victory's already done. When seeker sees there's none to find, The search dissolves, and peace unwinds. #poetry #philosophy #spirituality
