Of course, you can adjust the temperature of the room that you sleep in. I do hope that people are doing that. But adjusting the temperature of your mattress and your direct sleeping environment is also key. With 8 Sleep, it makes it very easy to program the temperature of that mattress and sleep environment, not just throughout the night, but for specific phases of the night. I started sleeping on an 8 Sleep mattress cover well over a year ago, and it's the best sleep that I've ever had. If you'd like to try 8 Sleep, you can go to 8sleep.com slash Huberman and check out the PodPro cover and save $150 at checkout. 8 Sleep currently ships in the USA, Canada, UK, select countries in the EU and Australia. Again, that's 8sleep.com slash Huberman to save $150 at checkout. Let's talk about mental training and visualization. Now, perhaps surprisingly, mental training and visualization has been studied since the late 1800s. There's actually a paper published in 1880 by Galton called the Statistics of Mental Imagery. So long ago, people were quantifying and trying to understand how is it that people come up with mental images and how they can apply that to learning things more quickly and more stably Over time. Now, as I mentioned earlier, mental training and visualization relies on a process that we call neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is a term that many people have heard and encompasses many different things. ([Time 0:07:25](https://share.snipd.com/snip/7db2d06f-e213-4363-b750-fe78497cc712))
