Games as evolutionary simulation for second-order thinking

games are a simulation of reality

thats why young animals play so much - its to prepare to adulthood by simulating it, like little lions fight to prepare for real fight

games like chess train your brain to plan things and use second-order effects to win

when i was 8 i was playing a lot diablo 2, i learned english by trading and doing business w old guys

later i played a game called dofus where player vs player mode looks a lot like chess but with more degree of freedom, i was number one in pvp for decades

there are games elsewhere like in martial arts

in muay thai boxing you have, like in chess, to predict what the other will do, to be in the head of the other player and outsmart it while being insanely fast, resistant and strong
