Humans are in a Red Queen competition with artificial intelligence
Red Queen race; humans and AI improve together
AI automate human tasks, but then humans get better and find new jobs, and adapt to AI and use it best.
There has always been some belief that humans have something special that computers can’t reach.
The more we advance in AI research, the more the gap get smaller, the more we realize everything in the world is a computer.
In theory, AI could be better at any task than man, that is more intelligent.
In practice, in our society, humans and AI are in a Red Queen competition, when humans get better, AI get better, when AI get better, human get better.
We learn about our mind through AI breakthroughs, and, of course, we augment ourselves by using AI, as a kind of parasite.
AI will never replace human completely, because our instinct tell us to compete to death.
Indeed, I don’t believe there is such a high chance of getting turned into an inferior animal, like we interact with cows etc., by AI, like in The Matrix, where humans are used as energy generators.
That’s said, I mean on the long-term/aggregate, obviously AI is already more intelligent than many people, in my opinion, and I don’t speak about the narrow AI, more like the collective AI such as Google.
Lastly, let’s run fast my brothers because the treadmill is going faster and faster, AI is making us obsolete!
