Do not averse what is not in your control

Feb 5, 2023

Stoic control principle as verse

Man is not worried by real problems so much as by his imagined anxieties about real problems ~ Epictetus

The future is uncertain, no one can claim, Thoughts of worry, like a flame. The past is gone, and what’s ahead, Thoughts of the unknown, now fill my head.

My own strength, I must rely, To face what’s unknown, though I may cry. For what I cannot change, I must not fear, To keep my peace, I must remain clear.

The road ahead is filled with twists and turns, Worry and doubt, I must spurn. My worries will only bring me pain, So I must learn to accept what’s in my realm.

For all that life brings, I will strive, To overcome the obstacles, I will survive. My strength and courage, I must embrace, To stay on my path, no matter the pace.

Though the future is uncertain, and may seem bleak, I will move forward, for I am not weak. I will not averse what is not in my control, For I will prevail, and reach my goal.
