AI merely learns a blurred map of the territory

AI learns human maps, not territory; epistemically handicapped

The problem is that AI is trained on the wrong map of the territory of men. Example: GPT3 is trained on The Internet data, which has been generated by human minds. At least in vision cameras pulls data directly out of the territory (when it’s Self supervised learning), I’m a bit unsure if we should consider the hardware (cameras, vision algorithms) properly reflect the territory. Other animals have different vision hardware?

Our senses do not reflect reality, I’d even say, our organic intelligence does not give us a perfect map of the territory, Man is trapped within a survival optimised machine.

Our current AIs learns based on the wrong map of the territory built by men.
